Ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP)

If you're exploring alternative ways to manage conditions such as depression, PTSD symptoms, and OCD or if you seek a new approach to self-discovery and healing, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy could be a suitable option for you.

Benefits of Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

  • Rapid Relief: Often provides quicker relief from depression symptoms compared to traditional treatments.

  • Enhanced Openness: Increases openness to new experiences and perspectives.

  • Psycho-Spiritual Exploration: Facilitates deeper exploration of one's inner self and spiritual dimensions.

  • Reduced Psychological Defenses: Helps in reducing entrenched psychological patterns, making therapeutic interventions more effective.

What to Expect During a Session

A KAP session lasts approximately 2-3 hours. During the session, you will lie on a couch or a floor pad and wear a comfortable eye mask while listening to a customized music list. You may bring a blanket or any other comfort items. I will sit with you for the entire session to ensure safety and provide support.

You will begin to feel the initial effects of ketamine within 15-20 minutes. The full effects usually last between 45 and 60 minutes. The effects gradually diminish over the next 1-2 hours.

After the session, while the predominant effects of ketamine will have subsided, you must arrange for a ride home to ensure your safety. I will meet your support person and answer any questions they may have.
